911

300,00 €

Title: 911
Dimensions: 80 x 60 cm
Medium: Mixed Media (Photo Transfer & Spray Paint)

In 911, I explore the intersection of nostalgia, speed, and identity through a contemporary reimagining of an iconic form — the Porsche 911. This work is a tribute not just to a car, but to a cultural symbol of motion and memory. Using photo transfer techniques as a foundation, I introduce layers of spray paint to abstract and disrupt the clean lines of the machine, blurring the boundary between precision and chaos. The splashes of yellow evoke both energy and decay, signifying the passage of time and the emotional imprints left by things we move past but never quite leave behind.

The number "911" stenciled at the bottom right grounds the piece, serving as both a visual anchor and a nod to the model’s legacy. This work invites the viewer to consider how objects of desire—especially those rooted in engineering and aesthetics—become vessels for personal and collective history.

911 is part of an ongoing series examining modern relics and the ways we immortalize them through artistic process.
